Where to stay in Bucharest

Some guests may prefer to stay in Bucharest for part of the trip, especially before or after the wedding. Bucharest is the capital city of Romania with many hotels, restaurants, and things to do.

Best areas to stay in Bucharest:

  • Old Town (Centrul Vechi) – restaurants, bars, nightlife, historic area

  • City Center / University Square – central location, easy to get around

  • Herăstrău / Aviatorilor – quieter, nice parks, good restaurants, close to the airport

  • Piața Romană / Piața Victoriei – central and convenient

If you are only staying one or two nights in Bucharest, we recommend staying in the Old Town or City Center so you can easily walk to restaurants and sights.

From Bucharest, you can take a train or car to Sinaia (about 1.5–2 hours).

Where to stay in Sinaia

Sinaia is a small mountain town, and most hotels are within a short drive of the wedding venue. We recommend booking your hotel early, as May is a popular time for events and tourism. Sinaia is small and easy to get around, and most hotels are 5–10 minutes from the wedding venue by car.

We have reserved a room block for our guests at the Hotel Palace Sinaia which is about a 2 minute walk from the wedding venue. Guests for our event can request reservations by sending an email to info@hotelpalacesinaia.ro and mention event code ‘Grossman’. The hotel will acknowledge booking and reply with a secure payment link requesting a 50% deposit.

By emailing the venue with our event code, a room for one person is 79 Euros per night, and a room for two people is 85 Euros per night. Breakfast is included!
